    Is pfsense support USB 3 ?

      Hi guys,

      I'm gonna replace my current firewall appliance.

      Nowadays board come with USB 3 chipset.

      Is pfsense support USB 3.0 ?

        It depends on the hardware. Typically, yes, it's fine. We have observed some issues with certain hardware combinations and USB3 that did not work, but it's usually fine, especially as an accessory (e.g. keyboard, etc). Using it as a boot device is more hit-and-miss but may be OK now. I haven't tried it in a while.

        The last USB3 problem I know for sure was still an issue was certain USB3 flash drives wouldn't boot in some controllers, but that's been a while.
