I have a triple-WAN setup. There are three physical NICs for each WAN interface. WAN1 has a static configuration, while the other two are on DHCP. All are set to 'Tier 1' as their priority level.

The internet was working and the pFsense box has been up for about 1 day and 14 hours, when suddenly the internet stopped working.

On checking, I found out that WAN1 was offline, while WAN2 and WAN3 were online. And to my shock, the 'Interface' widget on the Dashboard showed a totally different IP as '192.168.0.22', although my actual WAN1 IP was in the 10.10.10.x series.
On looking up 'WAN1' interface, the configuration seemed to be normal and the correct one. However, 'WAN1' was still offline.
I clicked the 'Save' button on the 'WAN1' interface, without changing anything. And woo, 'WAN1' became online then.

Now, my query is, why, on earth, did the IP of the 'WAN1' interface displayed a different one and became offline as well, on its OWN ?
Could anyone, out there, help me out ?

      Obligations, in advance.

      pFsense version : CE 2.3.2-RELEASE (amd64)
      Packages : None installed
