      Hello guys;

After many months running squidGuard, configured and working nice, I have a problem. All configuration has gone! also disapeared the Proxy Content shortcut from menu; when I access the squidguard config page, using the url that was in my history browser, I see that my ACL, DEFAULT and DESTINATION is totally empty, no configuration, no blacklists, nothing!

I have been telling here, in this forum, that I have a problem with pfsense since it's 0.99 version (today I use 1.2): when I have a energy interrumption and my UPS stops his batery energy, and the computer goes down, it seems that it damages the file system; this hapens slowly, with many incorrect shut downs, but I have lost many pfsense installation due to file system problems (ever used supported hardware, new ones). Last week I know that in a sunday I have an energy interruption in my city, and I know that my ups could not wait until energy comes back; but in the next day pfsense was ok; but today I checked and could not believe in this!

My hardware is new, the disk is new and the file system is the default from install; I do not know what to do about this, if someone can help me, I apreciate.

      thanks

      Srs

NEW INFO: looking into system >packages, it doesnt recognize any package installed, and I had many in this box, as you may imagine, squid, squidguard… those packages appear in the new packages list and the list of installed packages is empty!!!!!

The first - store you config !!!
And reupgrade pfSense to 1.2 for restoring you system.
After need reinstall all packages (looking GUI-installed packages-small buttons in the right).
For squidGuard reload blacklist and after their update check config.

          lets go:
1 - by storing my config you mean menu "Diagnostics > Backup/Restore" and make a download of ALL configuration??
2 - by reupgrading my system you mean, first, to download an 1.2 update file (like this http://ftp.nhlue.edu.tw/pfsense/updates/pfSense-Full-Update-1.2-RELEASE.tgz) then go to menu "System > Firmware" and them Enable Manual Update, choosing that downloaded file?
3 - Then you're saying that in 'installed packages' my installed packages will be shown (now the list is empty) and I will click 'reinstall package' on each of them?
4 - In SquidGuard I will have to re-upload blacklist.tar.gz to server and them reconfigure it??

          thanks in advance

          Srs

            1. yes (for backup)
            2. yes
            3. yes. but if you 'installed packages' list is empty - you must install thit new
            4. yes.

If you have power problem, you can lost system files and not possible diagnostic you problems.
After restoring system (it. 1-4) you will be sure what this files good.
