      I got a new wireless card for testing in my test Alix- went with a 5006 series instead of the usual fifth-gen 5212. It was cheap. Anyway, it seems to work under 1.2.1, but shows up as a 5212. (The card should be a 5413) 1.3 now has a more recent HAL, which correctly IDs the card, but then gets a HAL ABI mismatch.

      1.3 pfSense-20080908-1051.img
      ath_hal: 0.10.5.6 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, AR5416, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413, RF2133, RF2425, RF2417)
      ath0: <atheros 5413="">mem 0xe00c0000-0xe00cffff irq 9 at device 12.0 on pci0
      ath0: [ITHREAD]
      ath0: HAL ABI mismatch detected (HAL:0x8052700 != driver:0x6102600)
      device_attach: ath0 attach returned 6

      Same hardware on 1.2.1 pfSense-20080818-0000.img
      ath_hal: 0.9.20.3 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413)
      ath0: <atheros 5212="">mem 0xe00c0000-0xe00cffff irq 9 at device 12.0 on pci0
      ath0: [ITHREAD]
      ath0: using obsoleted if_watchdog interface
      ath0: Ethernet address: 00:02:6f:00:11:22
      ath0: mac 10.4 phy 6.1 radio 6.3

      EDIT: Tested with a 2413, and it gets the same error.</atheros></atheros>

          card is detected in the latest snapshot (thanks!!), but when i submit the configuration for the interface, it spits back a 401 Unauthorized and completely locks up the web GUI, i have to restart the box to get it to work again.

          system.log has the following to say:

          Sep  9 19:30:03 router php: /interfaces.php: XML error: XML_ERR_NAME_REQUIRED at line 240

            Can you please send me the config.xml part where your wireless parameters are saved so i can take a look at it.
            It happens only with certain parameters i cannot replicate.
