With this update, Google Translate is improving more in a single leap than we’ve seen in the last ten years combined. But this is just the beginning. While we’re starting with eight language pairs within Google Search  the Google Translate app, and website; our goal is to eventually roll Neural Machine Translation out to all 103 languages and surfaces where you can access Google Translate.

Interesting.  I ran the gag test of running some English text through each of the supported languages one by one and finally back to English.

"I grabbed the list off the table, but it slipped through my clumsy fingers and fell to the floor, all because I have such bad luck!"

        became

"I have a table on the list, but I am lack of luck as I have been a lost clumsy finger fade!"

        Keep working, guys  ;D

          Stop purposely breaking things! ;)

Humans are pretty bad at relaying phrases, like the game telephone (Chinese whispers?) taught me back in grade-school.

It's part of my job and I'm quite good at it.
