Crash in PHP

  • I came back from lunch to see pfSense 2.3.2_1 had crashed.  It had never done that before.  I've already submitted the crash.

    Crash report begins.  Anonymous machine information:

    amd64
    10.3-RELEASE-p9
    FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p9 #1 5fc1b19(RELENG_2_3_2): Tue Sep 27 12:26:06 CDT 2016    root@ce23-amd64-builder:/builder/pfsense-232/tmp/obj/builder/pfsense-232/tmp/FreeBSD-src/sys/pfSense

    Crash report details:

    PHP Errors:
    [15-Nov-2016 15:01:52 America/Toronto] PHP Notice: A feed could not be found at https://blog.pfsense.org/?feed=rss2 in /etc/inc/simplepie/simplepie.inc on line 1677

    Filename: /var/crash/minfree
    2048

  • Hi.

    You do not worry.

    The line 1676 and 1677 at  /etc/inc/simplepie/simplepie.inc (a PhP file with functions, etc for SimplePie: A PHP-Based RSS and Atom Feed Framework.)

    $this->error = "A feed could not be found at $this->feed_url";
    SimplePie_Misc::error($this->error, E_USER_NOTICE, __FILE__, __LINE__);

    Maybe a temporary web server error at blog.pfsense.org. Only show information "feed not found".
    PhP errors in pfSense always are reported to "crash report", even slight and non-serious errors, like this.

    Regards.
