      Hi guys,
      Just have an issue with my pfsense router. My CPU is always at 50-100% and I think it is slowing down my network. As the ISP provided router seems to be more reliable and resolves websites faster. I have observed in Diagnostics/System activity that

      /usr/sbin/pkg search -R –raw-format json-

      is using 100% of CPU all the time. Does anyone know what this process is? Would this also be the reason for the slow resoling of websites. For example I sometimes have to refresh the webpages once or twice to get it too load. Seems to be my router not sending an ACK packet or something. I have only 100/40 Mbit internet so it shouldn't be causing the router to slow down.
      Specs:
      Intel Celeron G540
      8GB Ram
      PFsense 2.3.2 - RELEASE

          @doktornotor:

          Disable the packages widget on dashboard?

          The only widgets are system information and Interfaces currently

            Well, kill the process. In System - Update - Update Settings, tick the Disable the automatic dashboard auto-update check checkbox and save. Stop browsing the package manager if your computer cannot handle it. There is already a bug open about the nonsensical perpetual package manager updates.
