      I have an older PPC mac mini sitting around that I would like to turn into a gateway. I was wondering if pfsense can run on PPC hardware along with a USB Ethernet adapter.

        No.
        x86 only.
        It would be theoretically possible since PPC FreeBSD builds exist.
        But you would have to build it yourself i suppose.
