Since Version 2.2.x (FreeBSD 10.3) the ixl(4) driver is supporting all Intel XL710 cards and since Version 2.2.3 it is also;
Enabled ix/ixv/ixl modules in the kernel

Intel X710-DA4 driver/NVM version mismatch?
