Need to add a USB port to a pfSense box so it can serial to a switch it's connected to. Is this supported? Was thinking of using this:

I ended up getting the usb-to-serial cable and am testing it now. I see from this doc the command to use serial is similar for onboard like so:

            cu -l /dev/cuaU0 -s 9600

However, it says connected then exits right away.

            I see the device:
            ugen1.3: <usb-serial controller="" d="" prolific="" technology="" inc.="">at usbus1, cfg=0 md=HOST spd=FULL (12Mbps) pwr=ON (100mA)

            Update

I removed the "-s 9600" and it connected. However, I get disconnected after about 10 seconds.</usb-serial>

              please try out 115200 8/1/N

this must be set up in putty on your pc or laptop and it is the default in pfSense.
