      Hi all,

Apologize if this isn't the right forum, but I was wondering if anyone over at PFSense potentially had some customer references from small/mid-sized providers and/or technical validated designs that we could reference as we evaluate our firewall options?

We are looking at replacing some aging ASA hardware in our POPs, and it's looking like about (maximum) ~40Mbps of traffic per POP, ~12-13kpps max with just generic NAT rules (~60-70) and no VPN overhead. Some things I am particularly interested in hearing about are HA quirks, caveats, etc. Basically, just a frank conversation with someone regarding some of the upsides as well as some of the warts we might be faced with.

Community references have been pretty good, but these are 24x7 networks and I have not used PFSense in this type of environment before – really just personal use. Due to the nature of the environments we've traditionally stuck with the more mainstream "enterprise" vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc... but I'd like to be able to make an informed decision on PFSense based on real world experiences.

      Thank you. :)

At the WAN area or as border Firewalls we are using PaloAlto Networks Firewalls, but Network internally we are using also
pfSense firewalls without any hassle or Problems! the most cases where peoples will be in Trouble it might be more
pending on the miss configuration of their devices and/or taking not really well supported hardware for their doings.
