Struggling with getting CARP to work…. here's what I've done so far:

CARP sync is working (changes on one device are mirrored on the other)

For LAN port on primary set IP to 192.168.10.35/23, on secondary set IP to 192.168.10.36/23
Both ports are connected via a switch with just the laptop using for debugging connected to it (IP address 192.168.10.50 statically assigned)

WAN is similar, but trying to simplify for testing

Set up Virtual IP CARP address 192.168.10.1/23 assigned to VHID group 4 (on master adverting frequency/skew default of 1/0; on secondary 1/100)

Added firewall LAN rule any source: * port: * gateway: * (in case it was a rule issue, will remove)

Looking in status / CARP both show master; tried various options temporarily disable carp/reboot secondary, etc.) nothing seemed to change

      What am I missing?

-change skew on secondary(ex skew 101)
