I would like to restrict the upload bandwidth of a port (32400 - Plex) on a local computer on my network to the WAN to 0.5 Mbps.

Does anyone know how I may do that… please excuse if it is a noobish question - I only got up and running with pfSense yesterday. LOVE the control and the power for sure.

Search man… there are tons of tutorials everywhere. Try the pfSense wiki.

Create a WAN queue with HFSC and set the upper-limit to 500kbps.
Create a firewall rule on LAN with destination port 32400 and assign to the above queue.

Please correct any obvious misinformation in my posts.

Thanks man, although,  I did search  - but the solutions provided were to situations quite unlike mine. And then there were differing opinions expressed within the threads. So,rather than bork up my network the nth time this weekend,  I thought I'd hazard a question here.

I will definitely research what you suggested. Thanks again.
