Many Duplicate General System Log Errors
-
I'm getting a couple dozen of these errors a day in the General System Log. I have no clue what they mean, or if there are serious or not.
The client is my LinkSys Router (now just a dumb Wireless AP).
Is it looking for that file on the LinkSys Router or on the pfSense Box?
Is this a problem? If so, where do I look to fix it?nginx: 2016/12/26 10:43:35 [error] 25122#100069: *255576 "/usr/local/www/HNAP1/index.php" is not found (2: No such file or directory), client: 192.168.2.2, server: , request: "GET /HNAP1/ HTTP/1.1", host: "192.168.2.1"
Thanks!!

You should start by not exposing your webGUI to the whole world, perhaps. Other than that, blame Avast's scans.

Thanks!
I don't think I'm exposing my WebGUI (either in pfSense or LinkSys) to the Internet, but I will definitely double-check and turn it OFF if I am.
And, yes, I am running Avast on my local PC, so that's an interesting thing to know that they do.
Thanks again! -
Well, this is interesting.
It's not Avast as the client in my LinkSys Router (AP Mode).
Further digging seems to indicate that my Linksys router caught The Moon worm somehow - its one of those effected models.
I don't have remote access enabled, never did, but I was on an old version of the firmware. So I updated that and rebooted.
We'll see if those log entries come back or not…
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!!!! -
I'd strongly suggest flashing the thing with DD-WRT/LEDE/OpenWRT if at all possible. The factory firmwares are utter crap.
