I am using the latest version of pfSense as a virtual appliance. It works very well. I also have a NetGate pfSense router on which I installed the latest version. I have several issues.

The first is that when logged in via putty on the serial port I can watch the system load until complete, but do not see the menu items to actually do anything with the configuration. So other than loading new software and changing the boot order, it's useless. Any ideas about how to see the standard menu?

Second, after using the VMware pfSense backup All menu item export to my temp directory, I had the following problems restoring to the NetGate router -

When I restored all, it presented some questions about the LAN and WAN connections. I did not have a clear solution to the proper response. Ideas?

Is there a way to just select all of the restorable sections at once rather than manually one at a time?

I could restore the packages, but they were just a stub. When, on the installed packages page, I selected the first to reload that worked but the others vanished. How should reinstalling all at once be done?

      Thanks a lot.
