This is an odd one, i've been playing with v6 on my network and using Charter 6rd tunnel and for the most part it works pretty well.  Although I started to notice that whenever I tried to access forum.pfsense.org or netgate.com etc, I would timeout.  Started testing with different browsers etc and noticed that if I only used v4 they would resolve but when using v6 I am unable to connect.

Kind of scratching my head since I'm not sure where to go from here, i've looked at my dns lookups and I see lookups for AAAA records for both but something is still not quite right.  Testing my configuration at the various v6 sites appear to work and other sites appear to be working just fine.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this I would appreciate it, thanks. :)

Drop your MTU/MSS on the tunnel.

Thanks for the quick reply, not wanting to make assumptions but are you referring to the WAN interface MTU/MSS setting or should I be looking somewhere else for that setting. Currently it is blank which I believe is default but wanting to make sure I am in the right place.

UPDATE: changed it on my lan interface to 1480 which I read is what the setting should be set for 6rd, and things appear to be working now.

          Thanks!

Eh now it appears to have broke speedtest.net, lol.  No wonder folks are not in a rush to flock to v6, need to figure out what the optimal settings are for 6rd and what I should set things at to make sure everything is happy.

Huh? That thing does not even test IPv6. There's nothing wrong with 1480 in the first place.

Yeah I hear ya, all I know is if I change my lan settings to 1480 pfsense starts working but I am unable to get to speedtest.net.  If I turn v6 off all of it works, so its something to do with the 6rd, most stuff works when the mtu is blank but I noticed a couple sites like pfsense forum and netgate not working.  Not sure how to figure what the real issue is and what needs to be corrected but something is still not 100%.

The other issue I appear to have is if I change my MTU settings on my lan the lan card on pfsense goes sideways, I have to reboot my box to bring it back on line, not sure whats causing that either, ughh.
