Ok I have pfsense 1.2 loaded in vmware running for my network, I have QOS setup like so,

qwanacks Service Curve Real time m2 = 285Kb
qlanacks Service Curve Real time m2 = 1%
qVOIPUp Service Curve Real time m2 = 195Kb
qVOIPDown Service Curve Real time m2 = 1955Kb
qP2PUp Service Curve Real time m2 = (Not Set)
qP2PDown Service Curve Real time m2 = (Not Set)
qGamesUp Service Curve Real time m2 = (Not Set)
qGamesDown Service Curve Real time m2 = (Not Set)
qOuthersUpH Service Curve Real time m2 = (Not Set)
qOuthersDownH Service Curve Real time m2 = (Not Set)

Now the Problem is when the qP2PUp que is in full use the qOuthersDownH que get slowed to about 8megs, when the qP2PUp que is not in use the OuthersDownH que gets a full 12 meg, anyone see something I should change or have any sugestions?

P.s. I have ADSL2+ Service Trained at 14973kbps down and 766kbps pp Speedtest without QOS are 12506kbps down and 651kbps up.

I've experienced some shoddy network experiences when running VMWare and pfSense…

Packet drops here and there, flaky speeds, MTU issues...

It's not pfSense's fault though. It's not the best idea to run a firewall inside a VM due to security holes (your firewall is supposed to be your overall network protection, currently your system is reling on the security of VMWare's virtual NICs...)

          Hope that makes sense cheers
