Domain Name how to setup
i have my own domain name
domain name: office-chatserver.com
i called thru landline our domain name registrar to verify which Name Server pointing or using
they say its NS1.office-chatserver.com
can i use my pfsense in order to make active our NS1.office-chatserver.com
So you want to be an authoritative ns to the public internet for your domain??
That is a bad idea, especially if you have to ask if its possible ;) I would really suggest you just let your registrar host your dns, or use a free service or for that matter for very low cost you can buy dns services.. dnsmadeeasy comes to mind.. like $29 a year
ns1 - where is the 2nd one, you can not run dns to the public internet on 1 ns.
Sorry the point that you have to even ask such a question, no you should not be hosting your own ns to the public…

Honestly, why would you want to run your own name server?
You had to call your registrar (through landline!) to get these informations? Really? You could have looked them up easily yourself. If you don't know how to do that you don't want to run your own public DNS server. Really not.

You could and should have done the same for your domain (not through landline, though)…
