Is it possible to add freeipmi to pfSense package reprository or there are some compatibility issues?

We ship with ipmitool already installed in the base system, what more do you need?

          Oops 8)
          I just missed it.
Will try it with my watchdog, if it works I don't need freeipmi, really.

I am sorry for stupid question but what is replacement for bmc-watchdog freeipmi tool/daemon? How to run ipmitool with watchdog timer correctly? I can't find anything similar to bmc-watchdog on FreeBSD man page.

You'd have to look in the ipmitool docs. It may not have a direct equivalent.

The problem is that I've looked in the ipmitool freebsd docs version and found no direct equivalent like you said. Would cron job be the good choice for resetting watchdog timer?

I've never had to deal with something like that via IPMI, you'd be better off asking on an ipmitool-specific forum/list/etc (if any exist)

I've used cron to maintain the timer. So far so good.
I googled a lot and looks like cron is not so common but known method for resetting BMC watchdogs.
So I think it's good enough and freeipmi not needed for the moment.
Thanks Jim for pointing me to the ipmitool!
