      hello, first post here.

I've been successfully running 2.2.6 on a Firebox X2500 for the past 2 months and loving it.  However as the title states I'm unable to get the fan speeds adjusted with WGXepc.  I have WGXepc installed and can use it to set the LCD backlight and LEDs but cannot get these fans lowered and it's killing me.  I always get "Fanspeed is not available on the X-Core" regardless whether I pass parameters or just run ./WGXepc -f.  Please help!

Im not sure that the X-core was ever considered when Steve wrote that file..

I take that back…after looking through the script it seems clear that for the X-Core no fan functionality is present.  I can change the backlight settings and LEDs but no fan.  So I guess my question now would be is there anything else out there that would allow me to change fan speed?

Yeah there's no way to set the fan speed in software on the X-Core.

You can add resistors or get a real fan speed controller. Or wire the fans in series perhaps. Or get different fans.

            Steve

Thanks Stephen I appreciate the clarification as well as the suggestions.  And thanks for your work as I am still able to use your script in most of its capacity.
