      Greetings.

I have an interface on my pfsense defined as 10.0.40.1.  This is my video interface that allows all my DirecTV boxes, etc to communicate with the internet.

All the video appliances are plugged into a router with a wan port of 10.0.40.2 attached to the pfsense video interface.  The devices can see the internet, and I can ping the wan side.

However, if I try to ping the LAN side of that router (10.0.41.2) I can't.

When I try to launch the DirecTV STB network services config on port 27177-27178 they fail. I entered a firewall exception on those ports on the subnet router, but no packets seem to be traversing the subnet's wan route.

If it was making it to the pfsense interface I should likely see a log entry right?  Maybe I need to focus on the subnet router?

Anyone have a similar config that could help me to better understand how to isolate and config my video subnet on pfsesne?

      Thanks,
      Ranger
