8p8c I hate you.

Maybe it was finished cable assembly manufactures and crimper tool manufacturers.
Kind of like designing automobiles to require special costly tools and procedures to drum up business for the dealership shops.
But it probably just goes back to expanding the 4p4c. Why recreate the wheel when they can just make it bigger.
With the right (quality) tools and good technique the job becomes much easier though.

Yeah. They frigging slide out even if you were careful enough to not break the clips which wear down on their own anyway. Put a friggin spring under it or something. Jeebus! Some of us don't like running around freaking out in the middle of a work day when theres no good explainable reason why the shit just crumbles. LOL
You know it wasn't the first 10 things I checked.

I hear you.
If you happen to work in the live entertainment industry like I do then you know there's oftentimes no second chance.
That's why we only use components designed to be tough and rough. Like these sockets:

unfortunately, most of us can't /won't spend +$30 for a short patch cord ;)

You know how the sfc transceivers have those tiny arms that hold in the patch cable?
What about one for an entire row of a switch?

Not in English, looks promising!
Sorry, I misinterpreted the ability to click the language button. Must be a European skill, not?

Sorry man, I read your post completely reversed and stand corrected.
Thought you were complaining about a non-English page.

Sure not. This is just an option for where it's needed. Never said you have to use this stuff.

Who is the jackass and who are the jackasses that approved the plastic 8p8c jack? It is absolute garbage almost like it was designed to piss someone off.

I held the same sentiments to the people who designed my old hyundai sonata, it ran great forever, but then the AC went out, and that was ok for a while, but then the alternator went out too.
Decided to replace them, and discovered to my dismay, that they are both mounted down by the crankshaft, under the motor. the manual says to lift the motor on a engine lift, disconnect the motor mounts, and lift the engine just enough that the AC and Alternator can be accessed through a small openning in the passenger side wheel well, after removing the passenger side wheel.
WTF, makes me want to slap an engineer in the back of the head hard enough to make his eyes pop out.
