Snort does not alert all rules ??

I installed snort  on psfsense 1.2.1 rc1 and turned select a few categories. Everything works fine, but I only see alerts for ftp_telnet and icmp . Looks like snort does not match other rules. I don't believe that there is no attempt hacking into our network.

could anyone give me some idea why?
