When a gateway goes down in a multi-wan setup, should the states of the failed gateway get flushed by the system?

It's not working for me.  The only way i can get it to work is to enable the option in advanced>misc to flush all gateways, but i'd rather the system just flush the failed gateway.

      any ideas?

There isn't a way to flush states just for the failed gateway. In the past we had done that, but it did not work correctly. The states on the WAN are gone, but there are corresponding states on the LAN that are not easy to locate which would also need to be killed.

Killing all states is more disruptive but it is the only way to be certain all relevant states are cleared when a gateway fails.
