      Hi All,

      I have a pfSense appliance SG-2440 with the 2.3.3-RELEASE (amd64).  I have installed an Ericsson F5521GW 3G modem.

      • The modem connects to the mobile network, checked with "Status -> Interfaces", shows status as "up" with an IP address.

      • Using the "Diagnostics -> Ping" feature, I can ping google.com.

      However, there is NO connectivity from the LAN network to the public Internet (using the F5521GW).

      I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I don't know what that is? All help and assistance greatly appreciated.

      These are the steps I followed. Tell me if further logs or configuration details are required?

      First, checked compatibility and on;
      https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Known_Working_3G-4G_Modems

      Then followed configuration guide;
      https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Configuring_3G_modems
      N.B. To enable PPP interface, assign as WAN, as per YouTube videos

      • https://youtu.be/g2h8FkKR8fw (pfSense version 2.3.2)

      • https://youtu.be/CDQTLXXlph8 (pfSense version 2.2)

      Added init string as per;
      https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=77270.0
      N.B. It may (or may not) be obvious, however, Use " at start and end of init string.
