Is there any way to assign DHCP Static Mappings based on MAC address AND have the host name passed to pfSense and be registered in the local DNS server?

I initially had a machine get it's IP from the DHCP pool, and it passed it's host name to the DNS server so I could resolve it.

I need the machine to have a predictable IP address, AND have it report the host name configured by whatever operating system is booted.

I created a static mapping and left the host name empty which results in NO host name.

The MAC address is fixed by the hardware, and the host name gets assigned by whatever boots, how can I get pfSense to pick it up have static IP mapping?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

If you find my post useful, please give it a thumbs up!
