Help with Mellanox 59Y1906 NIC

so I followed the steps here
http://www.routerperformance.net/howtos/compile-infiniband-modules-for-pfsense-2-2/
to install the drivers and they seem to have worked.

However when I assign the 2 ports to LAN and OPT1 it starts a boot loop.

any help would be appreciated.
