      Hi,

      I have two Watchguard XTM 5 series appliances running WG bios v1.3.

      I have installed pfsense 2.3.3 embedded 64bit. onto a two 4GB compact flashes. I have now had a number of boot failures that require re-flashing. When I console into the device on a failed boot I see the following message;

      'init: can't exec /bin/sh for single user: Permission denied'

      This is preceded by a message asking for the path to /bin/sh.

      I have had this happen on both dirty power offs and clean shutdowns. I has also happened on both appliances and both cf's.

      Any ideas as to the problem?

      Am I better going for a full install on SSD or HDD - if so what do you use to mount the drive onto the chassis?

      Many thanks for any advice.

        I had a buddy do this with some plexiglass.  Worked well.

        I found a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter and modified it accordingly.
