I have a fttc (vdsl) connection and an IPTV deal with my ISP that means the IPTV traffic comes through unencapsulated so I need a PPPoE interface and a static ipv4 interface on the same port re0.

I've been following the solution detailed in the comments of this post https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=100444.0
      I'm running 2.3.2-release on amd64.

However when I add another interface to re0 the PPPoE connection gets dropped and no matter what I do the log just shows PPPoE timeouts over and over again. I have to restart my modem and wipe pfsense to get the PPPoE back up.

Edit: Is there anything funky about having two interfaces on the same port for different protocols, any quirks I need to watch out for when setting it up, anything that can point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this issue?
