External IP vs. Internal IP
-
Hello,
Need some advise.
I have a web server setup in my DMZ that streams music. It can be accessed from the outside using my "Public IP" and proper port.
I can also access it using my "Public IP" from within my internal network. Here is what I want to do and have setup.
Obviously when I am outside my network I can access the web server using my "Public IP"
When I am inside my network I want to have it so that the "Public IP" address does not work but the "Internal IP" address of the web server works and access it with said internal IP.Is this something I need to setup on pfsense or on the web server.
Info: Web Server - IIS on WIN Server 2016
Pfsense: Latest VersionThank You

Turn off nat reflection..

Add a DNS override for the host name and use the Internal IP for the override.
So basically when you hit the same name outside, you get the public IP and inside, you get the private IP.
