      Hardware:
      Dell Precision T20
      Xeon e3-1225
      RAM: 20GB RAM
      HDD: 1TB
      Onboard NIC: Intel (em4)
      Additional NIC: HPNC364T Quad (em0, em1,em2,em3)

Clean install through USB Memory stick. Installed with lan cable attached between em0 and main router (TPLINK Archer C9 with NAT).

Installation recognised connection and assigned em0 as WAN and it picked up the IP address served by the DHCP server in the TPLINK C9 router. TPLink DHCP range 192.168.2.100 upwards with subnet 255.255.255.0.

em1 was assigned as LAN with DHCP and ip address of 192.168.1.1.

Connected a client laptop (windows 7 with Kaspersky Total Security) to the pfsense box. Received ip address of 192.168.1.100 from em1 and i am able to access internet from my client laptop.

I am able to ping 192.168.1.1 but I get no web GUI through the browser.

I am a newbie to pfsense.

Packets are passing through the pfsense box but not to the internal web server. Not sure if the firewall is obstructing access to the web server.

Any advice to resolve this problem will be most welcome.

I don't use Windows so I'm guessing that the Kasperky software is intercepting your https connection and it doesn't like the self signed certificate issued by the pfSense® software.

Try temporarily deactivating your Kaspersky software to see if you get a browser error that you need to create an exception for the pfSense® software self signed certificate. It may work OK with Kasperky after you create the exception.
