Yes. :'(
In an extremely unfortunate incident a spam post in that thread was reported and removed. However instead of removing the offending post the entire thread was accidentally removed.
We have been looking at ways to possibly recover it but it may not be practical to do so, at least not it it's previous form. :(

We do have a full forum backup, however it appears that restoring a single thread from backup is a bit tricky. Suggestions are welcome.
We will have recycle board soon.

Yeah I don't know how you could restore just a thread from a backup, that's beyond tricky if you ask me. Do note that a recycle board won't bring back previously deleted posts/threads. It will prevent something like this from happening again though.
I know I've mentioned it before but you really should update the board software, there's been security patches released in the last 2 years.

Just manually add the records using the SQL CLI, no problem ;)

Truthfully- As sad as I am personally to see this lost Im kinda wondering if its not for the better due to the equipment age..
And we still have the Wiki.. ;D

Could you not restore the backup to a separate instance, then just print the old thread out to PDF?
