Is embedded install missing drivers?
-
Hi guys,
I have a problem getting the embedded kernel full installation version of pfSense to run on an Seagate ST1 Microdrive.
After installing the serial bootblock with```
boot0cfg -B -o nopacket,noupdate -b /boot/boot0sio -s 1 -t 1 da1Best regards, Marcus

The embedded version is in no way different from the full version
except: no data will be saved to the disk (i.e you cannot install packages, RRD graphs wont be stored to the disk (will be written only on shutdown/reboot), etc.)To your problem: Search the forum for "seagate".
cheesyboofs posted some infos to these drives.
It seems you dont have much luck with such a drive. Hitachis should be better. -

They're stored in memory in the meanwhile though, so if you just plug off the power cord they won't be retained.
