Simple Virtual IP, Proxy-ARP, need only ICMP Ping, doesn't work ?

pfsense 1.2
I have LAN interface with firewall rule…, any any..... allow...
LAN interface is:
192.168.0.1 / 24I have created Firewall > Virtual IPs
Proxy ARP - Single address 192.168.0.2all hosts are 192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.20
when i ping from host 192.168.0.10 > 192.168.0.2
there is no answerarp table is correct
(both 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2, has same MAC addresses)..how can i get to pfsense over 192.168.0.2 ?
(don't ask why.. :) )

You can't ping a proxy-arp VIP. It should work just fine though. If you need to ping it, use a CARP VIP.

ok, where i can find documentation what is "Other" option in VIPs ?
Can I use CARP without other router ? (ok i will try)

You can use CARP on a stand alone system. Just use a unique vhid for each VIP. Set the password to whatever, it doesn't matter. -

I have set the CARP, with unique vhid and any password, and ping, port forwarding etc.. works
