Shell Command to Update Firmware

Im looking for a way to get the pfsense units to upgrade firmware via a shell command, or PHP Shell Command.

I have an automation script i run on our PFSenses and it can do things like reboot them, etc on command, but i would like it to also be able to upgrade them as well.

Is there a command to do this, other than in the web gui, or the numerical console menu.  A way to do it via actual Shell?

i think i finally found my answer in the etc/ec.initial file.
