I had a disk die in a router yesterday, and after reinstalling pfSense I tried to load the backup, however after doing that the only thing pfSense's web interface would show was

XML error: RRDDATA at line 2983 cannot occur more than once

I had to open config.xml in console, and comment out the second <rrddata>element, then reboot manually to finish the restore. Afterwards when I created a config backup, it again contained two <rrddata>elements (note that while both are similar, <xmldata>differs between both).

      pfSense version is 2.3.3_p1</xmldata></rrddata></rrddata>

Normally that element would be removed from the configuration after you restore the configuration file. It shouldn't be in there persistently.

Is there an error on the console or in the system log about it not being able to import the RRD info?
