      Hi all,

I have been using PFSense for many years and for various clients all custom hardware.

Around the middle of last year, I purchased and installed an XG-1540 and the unit has been working perfectly until a month ago.

About a month ago, the the device appears to "reboot" on its own every few days, without warning and without a log message. Whenever this happens, it does not boot with the following message:

"Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Switching it off, pulling the power cable out. Then put it back in and powering it back on works.

During peak times, the load on the device will be around 0.05/0.08.

A screenshot is attached. Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks, Indigo.

That's almost certainly a bad SSD. They can fail to a state where they vanish entirely but come back after a power cycle, until the next time they fail.

You should contact support if it's hardware you purchased from us.

          Hi Steve,

Thank you very much for the reply. I'm of the same opinion. I did purchase it from you . How do I get in touch with support?
