      Hello
I captured syslog frames sent by pfSense and it appears that, in the syslog load, the HOSTNAME part is not included :

      Apr 28 13:40:25 dpinger: GW_LAB1 192.168.2.199: sendto error: 64

As you can see, TIMESTAMP is followed by the MESSAGE part but there is no HOSTNAME field.

Some SYSLOG collectors ask for a strict conformance to RFC 3164, and this leads to uninterpreted messages.
Is there a way to force pfSense insert HOSTNAME (either hostname or IP address)  in it's syslog messages ?

      Best regards

(mostly ZOTAC CI or CA nano barebones)
