    Hi guys,

    This is a weird one…

If my firewall reboots for maintenance, power-fail, crash, whatever... and my primary internal DNS server is unavailable, the LAN interface on the firewall wont come up.  It's the craziest thing.  I can't figure out why the firewall LAN configuration would be dependent on this other server at all.  The firewall's addresses (except for the WAN) are all static, so there shouldn't be any kind of DHCP dependency.

On top of that, once it's up and running, I can't seem to get the interface to come online without a reboot... once the other server is online.

I am stumped on this one.  Does anyone have an explanation or some tips on how I might troubleshoot something like this?

    FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p17

    Thank you
