When I first install pfSense, it defaults to 192.168.1.1 for the LAN interface, which is fine, that's where I want it. The issue shows up when I connect a device to the firewall, it get's an IP, but can't access the webconfigurator.

If I change the LAN address to 10.0.0.1, update DHCP, etc. the device can access the webconfigurator.

Has anyone else seen this issue? I'd really prefer to use 192.168.1.1 over a 10.0.0.1 address scheme.

      Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing here.

What address is the WAN getting (from upstream)?
If the upstream device is handing out an address in 192.168.1.*/24 then that will conflict.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

Well. I'm stupid. Thanks for that; moved it to my testing VLAN and it now hands out 192.168.x.x with out issue.
