Nginx error.log filling with (61: Connection Refused) since 2.3.4

I've had a couple problems with pfsense since the 2.3.4 update related to /var/ filling up. Both times it's been a single message repeated over and over in /var/log/ngnx/error.log. I don't see errors accumulating while I'm watching, but suddenly there's 30MB of error.log, a spot check revealing only lines very much like below:
