I still receive the error message noted in the OP
"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/local/www/system_gateway_groups_edit.php on line 81"

        along with

"The following input errors were detected:

        * No gateway(s) have been selected to be used in this group"

Even though I have selected both Gateway's be tier 1.

        This is on
        pfSense-Full-Update-2.0-ALPHA-ALPHA-20081124-2327

and happens in firefox, chrome, and IE 8

When you look at the gateways status page, do you see any gateways at all there.

I can only imagine seeing this error when you have no gateways at all.

I have 2 gateway's and here are some links to some images

these should be in the order of me showing the gateways and going to the groups trying to add a group and then the error that ensues

I believe the problem is the use of spaces and special characters. I still need to add input validation there.

Can you try removing the space and () and try again?
Put the dlink and motorola part in the description. that is what it's for.

                success, spaces are apparently evil
