PfSense 2.3.4 Installation problems

I'm trying to install pfSense 2.3.4 on a mini computer. During the installation, I get different types of errors but the installation completes and then it reboots. It then shows a menu where I can select pfSense or reboot. Although I select pfSense, it reboots again. I try installing both via CD drive and USB flash drive.

Judging by that last error, the disk is failing or otherwise has a problem being written. Could be a cable or controller, but more often than not it's the disk itself.
