Static addresses and Framed Routers - Incorrect gateway address being assigned
-
Hi Guys,
I'm running a WAN interface with a static public address and 2 blocks of 4 addresses, these are all pushed to my router as dhcp by my ISP.
At the moment, my ISP has made some changes to their routing hardware, and this has introduced a large number of dropouts on my service.
Due to fact that this is a fibre service, and only auth dropts it only goes out for a few seconds.
The problem is I may be randomly assigned one of the addresses, that isn't the default gateway address, breaking the connection until it is manually reset.
My DG address should be X.X.X.146 I can be assigned any of the others say X.X.X.148 or X.X.X.149 and so on and such.
Any one have any idea why this is happening.
