Restoring configuration (LiveCD+USB STICK) problem

I notice and reproduce that if I do the following with 1.2 I end up with a corrupt/destroyed config:

1. Boot with LiveCD
2. Set basic options
3. Option 98 to move the config to USB stick
4. Using WebGUI restore a different config from export/backup config
5. See that after this option 98 is again available
6. Option 98 to move the config to USB stick again (thinking that since the option appeared again it is should be done)

It seems best to leave it sit with option 98 available but never select it other than after an initial config?
