      I'm not sure which forum to place this in, so I'll start here.

      I understand port forwarding of services to boxes behind pfsense by port number.  What I'd like to be able to do is route traffic by hostname as well.

      For example:

      host1.domain -> some_internal_IP:80

      That is accessing host1.domain in a web browsers forwards http traffice to the some_internal_IP box.

      Right now I have NAT of general port 80 traffic forward to my main web server behind pfsense.

      Thank you.

      Greg

          Not possible on pfSense at the time.
          I think i read something somewhere about being able to use names in firewall-rules in the future so it might be possible with a future release.

          We do what we must, because we can.
