I am trying to use "snort2pfsense" to provide real-time blocking of IPs based on snort alerts.

The script tries to spawn a shell for ssh to login and uses "expect" to look for terminal prompts.  The script is having some problems and I would like to create a user called admin2 on the pfsense box that just gets a shell and not the pfsense console menu.

      Any ideas would be appreciated.

      Thanks,

      Peter

I've done this for rsync over SSH backups.  When I get a chance I'll dig out how and drop it here.

You can just modify /root/.shrc to not run /etc/rc.initial…
