      Hello,

I am simply trying to tag my WAN interface so I do not need to do so in VMware.

I added VLAN 3000, and assigned it to my WAN interface, eth0.

I removed the VLAN tagging from VMware… and I expected it to be working right away... Unfortunately to my dismay, it did not.

Consoling to the machine, was the repeating message "arprequest: cannot find matching address". The GUI became unresponsive, Luckily a reboot fixed it--but I still did not have internet access... The applied settings were still there.

I reverted back to my original interface eth0 as it was, and the same message appeared on the console...No internet still. This time, a reboot reconnected me to the internet (Had to also revert VMware back to tagging obviously).

      I am running pfSense version:
      2.3.2-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Tue Jul 19 12:44:43 CDT 2016
      FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p5
Machine is a Dell R710, so I expect VLAN tagging to be fine, as it is with VMware.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
