I'm seeing odd behavior with the NTP Status widget in 2.3.4.  It's showing my local time (CST6CDT) but claiming it is UTC (my system defined time zone).  All other aspects of the machine time seem correct.  Running date from the shell is correct.  Also, the Date/time value under System Information is correct.  It's just the NTP Status widget that has it wrong.

Actual NTP behavior appears to be unaffected.

Is this something I have set wrong, or is it a bug?

That does appear to be a bug affecting the time zone display: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/7714
