SG-4860-1U installation image?
-
Just did an upgrade and now I get the "boot: No /boot/kernel/kernel" message. Logged into my pfSense portal page and it's changed, I cannot see our equipment or download the image to reinstall. How do you suggest I proceed?
Edit: I found an old image named pfSense-netgate-memstick-ADI-2.3.2-RELEASE-p1-amd64.img, I was able to reinstall. I'm staying away from 2.3.4_1 for now and will try again later. I think there may be some hardware issues going on with this unit and it's only a year old.
But where can I find the images? When I log in to https://portal.pfsense.org I don't see anything there anymore and that's where documentation says to go to get the image.

So looks to me like our support contract expired so pfSense removed all of my access to the relevant downloads to the unit we bought directly from the pfSense store. That's an unacceptable business practice. I expect to have access to the relevant documentation and software for the unit I bought without having to pay you guys $39/month or over $580 CAD per year, which is over half the cost of the unit per year. Absolute nonsense. We won't be purchasing any additional pfSense or Netgate hardware without seeing this problem resolved. The equivalent to what pfSense/Netgate is doing as a business would be like Dell/HP not giving you chipset drivers for your equipment because your "service contract" wasn't renewed and telling you "Give us 50% of the MSRP yearly and we'll let you download the software for your laptop/server". >:( I should at least be given access to download the version of ADI image it shipped with.
So looking for clarification here: I'm stuck with ADI images because I bought pfSense hardware from the pfSense store. I cannot have access to ADI images without an active support contract, worth roughly 50% of the unit yearly. Is this correct?

ADI images are available at https://www.pfsense.org/download/
After your support contract and warranty expires, you lose access to portal.pfsense.org however you can always download the images from our website. Simply select Netgate ADI under architecture.
